A Sharp Dressed Deck

This yard has been undergoing a makeover since being purchased by a young couple. The deck obviously has been a part of their backyard makeover and the  deck project is now complete.

I like the grey color choice as it works well to compliment the cedar color and co-ordinate with the siding color of the house.  Choices considered were white, cedar or grey.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wood accents over the skirting add an extra detail, also note how the stair area has been done.  Something like this is preferable to trying to skirt along the risers/steps.  Finished clean and simple.

New furniture has been purchased for the deck and some beautiful plants and planters.

The front makeover is started and promises to bring some interesting elements in the gardens as well as adding some interlocking stones in the walkway.

I will try to keep viewers up to date on progress with this landscaping project.  As you can see, there are some unique details and some creative minds doing this makeover. This is all DIY, I have worked with this family before and the homeowner’s father is co-ordinating the design with Kristen and Matt and doing projects.  He is a heavy duty mechanic by trade, and passionate and extremely talented in gardening and landscaping.
