A while back, I met Paul Reinsoo at a Home Hardware Market. Paul was interested in using deckALL to create a privacy screen for his deck hot tub. He also mentioned his daughter was an artist and would design and paint the screen.
After some delays due to family commitments, Paul sent me a note saying the screen was done and it featured a turtle and he would send pictures. I have to admit, I kinda wondered about the combination.
After seeing the pictures, it is a perfect combination. I prefer treated decks that age naturally (staining is too much work and maintenance as well). The colors and detail in the painting complement the deck and create a stunning focal point. Kailey obviously spent a lot of time and thought for this gift to her family.
In addition to providing a focal point, the screen will provide function. It creates privacy and works as a wind block, a lot of people use hot tubs year round and cutting wind is a huge benefit when we get our cold winter temperatures.
